The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 3

Windstead M. Adams, 19, of Doylestown, Pa., was arraigned on July 2 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, speeding in violation of special regulation and person under 21 possessing liquor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 4. July 7

Tiago P. Braga, 29, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of domestic assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 7.

Austin T. Gampfer, 22, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a July 5 charge in Edgartown of disorderly conduct. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Gampfer allegedly approached a police cruiser, put his forehead on the window, and gave officers the middle finger. When officers opened the door, he allegedly slammed it shut twice and allegedly tried to punch the glass window. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 4.

Raleigh S. Jackson, 22, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was arraigned on July 5 charges of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 4.

Jon R. Lima, 48, of Edgartown, was arraigned on July 4 charges in Edgartown of domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Lima allegedly pushed a person into a glass door, causing it to shatter. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 1.

Leonardo (Leandro) Miranda, 23, of Edgartown, was arraigned on July 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for OUI, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, wanton destruction of property under $250 and resisting arrest. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Miranda allegedly passed other vehicles on Masonic avenue while driving a motor vehicle, refused to stop for police, pulled into a parking lot and fled from the motor vehicle he was driving and ran behind an office building, allegedly leading police on a chase. Bail was set at $5,000 surety and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 7.

Richard Peterson, 62, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 6 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a person over 60, intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official and domestic assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 21.

July 10

Michael E. Almeida, 34, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on July 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of domestic assault and battery and vandalizing property. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 4.

Renaldo B. Barbosa, 34, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to an April 26 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, ordered to pay a $100 fine/assessment fee by July 23. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Ava R. Barnette, 18, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a July 8 charge in Edgartown of violating an abuse prevention order. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 31.

Walterlei T. Deoliveira, 46, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded guilty to a March 5 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery, placed on pretrial probation for 18 months. Ordered to pay $50 monthly probation services fee and $50 victim/witness assessment fee. Must complete a counseling evaluation and ordered to have no contact with the victim. A charge of assault to murder was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Sabrina Macleod, 35, of Hudson, was arraigned on July 8 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense, OUI drugs (bupropion hydrochloride and setraline hydrochloride) and a number plate violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 31.

July 11

Michael D. Frances, 59, of Vineyard Haven, was placed on pretrial probation for three months on a May 6 charge in Edgartown of leaving the scene of property damage.

Brian P. Langhammer, 47, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a May 18 charge in Edgartown of leaving the scene of property damage. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 11.

Clay R. Merrill, 57, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a June 2 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (car door). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 21.

Daniel O’Connor, 46, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a May 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of threat to commit a crime (murder). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 8.

Carlos G. Stevenson, 48, arraigned on one count of rape of a child with force and 11 counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. According to police reports filed in court, the alleged incidents occurred in Vineyard Haven between September 2000 and September 2003. Bail was set at $9,000 ($3,000 for each case). A pretrial conference is set for July 25.

Arial Sylvia, 27, of New Bedford, was arraigned on a June 2 charge in Vineyard Haven of larceny under $250. According to a police report filed in court, Ms. Sylvia allegedly stole medical supplies from the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. In a separate case, Ms. Sylvia was arraigned on June 3 charges in Vineyard Haven for assault with a dangerous weapon (knife) and two counts of domestic assault. A pretrial hearing for both cases was scheduled for August 22.

Ryan Willoughby, 24, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on May 15 charges in Vineyard Haven of leaving the scene of property damage, unregistered motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 21.

July 14

Nadeem Al-Khatib, 24, of Quincy, was arraigned on July 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 11.

Riad A. Al-Khatib, 22, of Quincy, was arraigned on July 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct and assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 11.

Mohammed Al-Khatib, 20, of Quincy, was arraigned on July 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct and assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 11.

Paul J. Clasby, 37, of Holliston, was arraigned on July 14 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, second offense, failure to stop/yield and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license restriction (not wearing corrective lenses). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 15.

Lila N. Debas, 23, of Hull, was arraigned on July 13 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 15.

Troy A. Maciel, 42, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on July 14 charges in West Tisbury of violating an abuse prevention order, larceny under $250 and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Maciel allegedly broke into a residence and took legal papers from a person. Bail was set at $1,500 and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 17.

Travis S. Macomber, 28, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a July 12 charge in Oak Bluffs of possessing a class B drug (oxycodone). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 25.

Joseph E. Peters, 35, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 8 charges in Oak Bluffs of conspiracy to violate drug law and vandalizing property. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 1.

David C. Thompson, 78, of Edgartown, was arraigned on July 11 charges in Edgartown of assault with a dangerous weapon (shotgun), intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official and threat to commit a crime (murder). According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Thompson allegedly threatened to shoot a person with a shotgun, showed the victim the shotgun and hid the victim’s phone, iPad and keys. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 21.

Nicholas R. Daly, 24, of Brooklandville, Md., was arraigned on July 12 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, trespassing, trespassing with a motor vehicle, speeding, resisting arrest, malicious destruction of property over $250 and two counts of failure to stop for police. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Daly allegedly drove a motor vehicle onto a property, damaged the lawn and driveway of that property and ran and hid from police under the deck of another residence. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 14.
