The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 7

Susana Branco, 33, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a July 6 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (tequila bottle). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 1.

July 10

Renaldo B. Barbosa, 34, of Edgartown, was sentenced to six months in a house of correction on April 24 charges in Edgartown of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official, balance suspended for two years and put on probation for two years. Ordered to have no contact with the victim, remain alcohol free, pay $90 victim/witness assessment fee and pay $65 monthly probation services fee. An additional count of domestic assault and battery and two counts of threatening to commit a crime (murder) and threatening to commit a crime (assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, a knife) were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Joshua R. Mcnally, 24, of Lyndonville, Vt., placed on pretrial probation for three months for a July 9 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct.

Leonardo (Leandro) Miranda, 23, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to May 1 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, amended from operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for drunken driving, placed on probation for one year.

Abraham T. Rendon, 24, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to May 11 charges in Oak Bluffs of domestic assault, threatening to commit a crime (assault and battery on a police officer) and disorderly conduct, placed on pretrial probation for 18 months. Ordered to pay $65 monthly probation services fee, $50 victim/witness assessment fee by August 13, to attend a batterers program and remain alcohol free with screens.

James R. Tye, 64, of Edgartown, had a May 24 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery dismissed without prejudice.

July 11

David J. Sylvia, 43, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to May 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and threatening to commit a crime (assault and battery on a police officer), placed on probation for six months. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment fee and remain alcohol free with screens.

July 14

Robert N. Anderson, 59, of Hopkins, Minn., arraigned on July 12 charges in Chilmark of drunken driving, second offense, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 15.

Joshua L. Rogers, 27, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on July 13 charges in Oak Bluffs of possession with intent to distribute a class D drug (marijuana). Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 14.

July 18

Elliot G. Bilzerian, 23, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on a June 8 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 22.

Colleen E. Bonessi, 23, of Cheshire, Conn., was arraigned on July 18 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, failure to stop/yield and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 11.

Eli J. Bonnell, 27, of Edgartown, arraigned on July 18 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 21.

Kenneth E. Handy, 21, of Edgartown, arraigned on July 18 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 1.

Paul A. Oesting, 43, of Vernon Rockville, Conn., arraigned on July 18 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and failure to stop/yield. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 15.

July 21

Jacob S. Bassett, 40, of Edgartown, arraigned on June 8 charges in Oak Bluffs of conspiracy to violate drug law and disorderly conduct. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 1.

Aja Stamp, 23, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on July 20 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 18.

Joseph E. Wilson, 59, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on a May 26 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 21.
