Jonathan Zittrain, described as one of the web’s brightest theorists, is the featured speaker of the Martha’s Vineyard Summer Institute in a 7:30 p.m. program on Thursday, July 17, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center in Vineyard Haven. He will present Cybersecurity and Cyberwarfare: How Far up the Creek Are We?

Mr. Zittrain is professor at Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; professor of computer science at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and co-founder of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. He works in several intersections of the internet with law and policy, including intellectual property, censorship and filtering for content control, and computer security.

His book is titled The Future of the Internet — And How to Stop It.
