New Orleans artist and gallery owner Chris Roberts-Antieau is opening a pop-up gallery in Edgartown. Ms. Roberts-Antieau has been a professional artist for more than 30 years and is most recognized for her fabric paintings. Her artistry ranges from fabric-appliqué work in hand-painted frames to gouache on paper to mixed media sculpture. Her work is featured in museums all over the country, including Baltimore’s American Visionary Art Museum and a recent exhibition at the Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington, D.C.

The Edgartown pop-up gallery, sharing the name Antieau Gallery with its New Orleans counterpart, is at 11 North Summer street. The gallery, which will feature Roberts-Antieau’s newest pieces, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The gallery will host an opening event on July 12, and will finish its time on the Island in October.
