Bloomsday comes to the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven on Monday, June 16 at 8 p.m. Organized by John Crelan, this 36th annual celebration of James Joyce’s Ulysses features local talent recreating the events of June 16, 1904 depicted in Joyce’s famous book.

The James Joyce Bloomsday celebration is sponsored by Arts and Society begins with a musical medley from Joyce’s writing performed by Phil Dietterich, Jan Hyer and Matt Pelikan. Other performers include Gerry Yukevich with The Boarding House from Dubliners and Pam Schnatterly returns as Molly from Ulysses. Settings by Samuel Barber and John Cage sung by Lia Kohler and Molly Conole. Other singers, actors and musicians include Buck Reidy, Brian Weiland, Martha Hudson, Robert Doss, Joe Gervais, Jane Larsen, Anna Yukevich and others.
