The following cases were heard in Edgartown District Court.
Keomma V. Aredes, 24, of Danvers, admitted to sufficient facts on a May 5 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving, continued without finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees, a $65 monthly probation services fee, complete a 24 day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle to be dismissed if eight hours community service completed by June 18. Found not responsible on a marked lanes violation and speeding. A separate charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Aredes was allegedly driving a motor vehicle 35 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
Justice R. Degregorio, 22, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on May 14 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop/yield and license not in possession. A pretrial hearing set for June 16.
Immacolata Parisi-Casey, 51, of Edgartown was placed on one year of pretrial probation on Jan. 21 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery. Ordered to stay away from the alleged victim, must remain alcohol free with screens as recommended by probation and ordered to seek counseling for six months.
Matthew Gamache, 36, of Vineyard Haven will not be prosecuted on March 5 charges in Vineyard Haven of attempted murder and possession of a weapon of mass destruction, amended from possession of an explosive device. A pretrial hearing was set for June 2 for charges of intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official, unlawful possession of ammunition, assault and battery and 24 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Emily A. Sobel, 23, of West Tisbury, admitted to sufficient facts on a Feb. 14 charge of leaving the scene of property damage, continued without finding for six months. Ordered to pay a $50 monthly probation services fee and a $50 victim/witness assessment fee. Found not responsible on a marked lanes violation. According to a police report filed in court, Ms. Sobel was allegedly traveling south along Beach Road just before Big Bridge when she allegedly crashed her car, submerging it into the water on the pond side of the road. Police reported a heavily damaged bike path guardrail was connected to the crash. Ms. Sobel allegedly left the crash and walked to a friend’s house.
Dakota Delviento, 21, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a March 11 charge in Oak Bluffs of intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. A pretrial hearing set for June 26.
Sarah Mclane, 49, of Edgartown had April 12 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (water) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth with consent of defendant.
