The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

April 25

Kara L. Peters, 31, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on April 19 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield at an intersection and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 2.

May 2

Brett A. Armstrong, 29, of Oak Bluffs, had a March 8 charge in Oak Bluffs of leaving the scene of property damage dismissed if $200 court costs were paid forthwith.

Kim S. Baker, 55, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a May 2 charge in West Tisbury of leaving the scene of property damage. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 2.

Jacob S. Bassett, 40, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a May 1 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 27.

Aaron J. Blake, 26, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 26 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 5.

Rocco D. Carrube, 58, of Lake Mary, Fl., admitted to sufficient facts on an August 2013 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery, continued without finding for 18 months. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment fee.

April L. Cerrato, 26, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Jan. 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of uttering false prescription. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 16.

Leah Fraumeni, 29, of Edgartown, was found guilty on an April 25 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving, placed on probation for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and to complete a 24 day driver alcohol eduction program and to lose license for 45 days. Found not responsible for a charge of marked lanes violation.

Tiara J. Lee, 20, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on charges in Aquinnah of larceny more than $250 by single scheme, breaking into a depository, receiving stolen property over $250 and two counts of larceny from a building. The alleged charges took place from Dec. 20 to Jan. 28. According to a police report filed in court, she allegedly stole multiple prepaid gift cards from the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 27.

Tiara J. Lee, 20, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Jan. 24 charge in Vineyard Haven of larceny less than $250. According to a police report filed in court, she allegedly stole $215 from someone at the Tisbury Senior Center. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 27.

Sabrina B. Luening, 42, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on a September 2013 charge in Oak Bluffs of possession to distribute a class B drug (cocaine), continued without a finding for two years. Ordered to pay $90 victim/witness assessment and $50 monthly probation supervision fee. Found not responsible for no inspection/sticker, and a charge of operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

William F. Mcdevitt Jr., 51, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Feb. 18 charge in Chilmark of disorderly conduct. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 23.

John T. Netro, 62, of Saunderstown, R.I., was arraigned on April 27 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle. Bail was set at $500 and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 2.

Stephanie Sullivan, 31, of Edgartown, was arraigned on March 12 charges in Edgartown of leaving the scene of personal injury, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 6.

David J. Sylvia, 42, of Edgartown, was found not responsible on December 2013 charges in Vineyard Haven of failure to stop/yield and a unregistered motor vehicle. Charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a number plate violation to conceal identity were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. An uninsured motor vehicle charge will be dismissed if 16 hours of community service is completed by June 23.

Lorraine H. Overall, 48, of Pine Bluff, Ark., was arraigned on April 26 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, third offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $600 and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 5.

May 5

Matthew D. Engstrume, 21, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to November 27 charges in Edgartown of three counts of distributing obscene matter, ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims and to remain drug and alcohol free with screens for two years as recommended by probation. Admitted to sufficient facts on November 27 charges of breaking and entering a vehicle/boat in the nighttime, destruction of property more than $250, larceny more than $250 and 11 counts of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, continued without a finding for three years. Ordered to pay $140 in victim/witness assessment fees, not to contact alleged victims, to pay $750 in restitution, to forfeit $1,296 and remain drug and alcohol free with screens as recommended by probation. Admitted to sufficient facts to a charge of possession to distribute class B drug (marijuana), continued without finding for two years. According to police reports filed in court, the charges came from several car break-ins. Mr. Engstrume also allegedly broke into an Edgartown residence and stole a purse containing a laptop and cell phone. He allegedly took lewd photographs of himself on the stolen cell phone and texted them to the victim. Police also allegedly found marijuana and evidence of marijuana distribution during a search of his home.

Franklin P. Flanders Jr., 39, of West Tisbury, was placed on one year of pretrial probation on March 1 charges in West Tisbury of possessing a firearm without an FID card and possessing ammunition without an FID card.
