Tisbury School students recently completed a project that wove together historical women with theatre. The eighth graders reenacted the lives of Anne Hutchinson and the women of the Salem witch trials, and the sixth graders learned about the lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Abigail Adams and the women of Salem. Students told the women’s stories complete with costumes and theatrical recreations.

The program was supported through funds from the town of Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard Center for the Visual Arts, Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund, and private funding and donors.
