Leaders of the new organization 350 Martha’s Vineyard Island (350MVI) will be guests at the monthly meeting of the Democratic Council of Martha’s Vineyard.

The organization’s leaders will describe the Island chapter and the work they’ve been doing to address climate change. They have created a website, 350mvi.org, which serves as a resource for those interested in conserving a healthy environment on Martha’s Vineyard. Topics such as new parking at Squibnocket, the health of waters surrounding the Island, Vineyard Power, and Monsanto/GMOs will fuel discussion about what MVDems can do — both individuals and as an organization — to collaborate with and extend 350MVI’s work.

The meeting is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Howes House across from Alley’s in West Tisbury. All are welcome. For more information, contact MVDems at info@mvdems.org.
