The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Nov. 14

Robert S. James, 41, of Oak Bluffs, had an Oct. 7 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault with a dangerous weapon (a knife) dismissed upon request of the victim.

Dec. 2

Mark A. Bergeron, 48, of Edgartown, was arraigned in eight different cases on seven counts of open and gross lewdness, four counts of indecent exposure, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and two counts of enticing a child under 16, all in West Tisbury. The incidents allegedly took place between July 2009 and February 2010. According to police reports filed in court, Mr. Bergeron allegedly assaulted three children, including exposing himself to them. Mr. Bergeron was arraigned in early November on charges including indecent assault and battery on a child. In earlier police reports, police said Mr. Bergeron was suspended without pay from his job as a West Tisbury school bus driver. In the new cases, bail was set at $1,000 surety. Further conditions of release include no unsupervised contact with children younger than 16, no contact with the alleged victims, not to trespass at certain West Tisbury properties and not to work as a bus driver. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23.

Dec. 12

Jonathan F. Holland, 20, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Dec. 10 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 9.

Dec. 16

Derek J. Cruz, 54, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 15 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and a number plate violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 10.

Dana L. Marks, 42, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 15 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, a state highway traffic violation (failure to use caution when stopping) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 10.

Dec. 19

Emily Billing, 31, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Dec. 16 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense, operating under the influence of drugs (Adderall), and possessing a class E drug (Adderall). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 10.

Joseph W. Lefebvre, 46, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a June 21 charge in Oak Bluffs of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, continued without a finding for 18 months. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Found not responsible on a marked lanes violation and possessing an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle.

Kevin M. Medeiros, 30, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Dec. 18 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 10.

Michael D. Tebeau, 31, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 16 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and license not in possession. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 27.

Shane K. True, 31, of Vineyard Haven, had June 8 and June 14 charges of uttering a false check in Oak Bluffs dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. June 17 charges in Edgartown of larceny of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property less than $250 were also dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Dec. 20

Kevin Barcelos, 32, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a Nov. 17 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. Found not responsible on a marked lanes violation, speeding and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Phebe L. Bates, 23, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on Dec. 20 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of special regulation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 27.

Nicole M. Jackson, 26, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a Nov. 16 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on a charge of marked lanes violation.

Dec. 23

Sonja D. Allen, 45, of Aquinnah, had July 2 charges in Aquinnah of attempt to commit a crime and malicious destruction of property more than $250 dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. September 26 charges in Aquinnah of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and threat to commit a crime were also dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. In a separate case, she admitted to sufficient facts on an August 29 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on a correctional facility employee, continued without a finding for six months.
