Celebrating fall is a tradition at Felix Neck and it comes with hayrides, face painting, live music by the Flying Elbows, food, wreath-making, crafts and even a look at the baby barn owls through the ingenious owl cam.

The festival is on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 29, and takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you get there by 9 a.m. you can take a guided bird walk with Island birder Robert Culbert, and Marla Isaac will bring her birds of prey along offering shows at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $4 for Mass Audubon members, $7 for nonmembers and children under three attend for free.
