In an off-season treat for Islanders, the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society offers its annual Thanksgiving concert on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Edgartown’s Old Whaling Church.

Three performers from summer festivals will join artistic director Delores Stevens for music by Mozart, von Weber and Brahms, along with new music by Howard Frazin and David Del Tredici.

A top winner at the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow, violinist Stephanie Chase will play. Scott Woolweaver, founder of the Boston Composer’s String Quartet and cellist Scott Kluksdahl add to the performance.

Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society is coming up on its 44th season drawing on artists from around the world. The society also sponsors an educational program for Island youth, which includes an annual high school scholarship, private music lessons and a string instrument loan program.
