Ivaylo Bonev, 20, of Oak Bluffs, will have an August 31 charge in Edgartown of shoplifting by concealing merchandise dismissed if 16 hours of community service are completed by Oct. 9.

Sept. 27

Sonja D. Allen, 45, of Aquinnah, was arraigned on Sept. 26 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and threat to commit a crime. According to a police report filed in court, a police officer went to her home to see why she had not appeared at court and she allegedly lunged at him, struck him and threatened him. A pretrial hearing was continued to Nov. 15.

Daniel R. Consoni, 24, of Sagamore Beach, was arraigned on Sept. 26 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and speeding in violation of special regulation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 1.

Oct. 3

Renaldo B. Barbosa, 33, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Sept. 29 charge in Oak Buffs of domestic assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 7.

Jireh S. Billings, Jr., 24, of Somerville, admitted to sufficient facts on a June 23 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $50 monthly probation services fee, not to contact the alleged victim and to remain alcohol-free. Charges of assault and battery to intimidate and intimidating a witness were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Decio F. Candido, 26, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on August 5 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. According to a police report filed in court, a sheriff’s deputy attempted to issue a parking ticket to Mr. Candido because he was parked in a bus stop, and Mr. Candido allegedly began backing up and nearly crushed the deputy’s foot. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 7.

Alekzandria S. Gibson, 26, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Oct. 2 charges in Vineyard Haven of operating under the influence of drugs (prescription drugs), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to a police report filed in court, she allegedly side-swiped a marked police cruiser on Franklin street. Bail was set at $500 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 8.

Edward L. Lau, 43, of Middlefield, Conn., was arraigned on an August 2 charge in Vineyard Haven of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor. According to a police report filed in court, he allegedly entered a neighbor’s house because he thought the neighbor had his iPad. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 15.

David K. Murray, 46, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Sept. 30 charge in Vineyard Haven of domestic assault and battery. Bail was set at $500 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 7.

Elza S. Paula, 46, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Sept. 13 charges in Edgartown of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime for felony and assault. According to a police report filed in court, she allegedly entered another residence and asked where her money was. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 7.

Jose D. Rosado, 44, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a Sept. 22 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle will be dismissed if eight hours of community service is completed by Dec. 4; found not responsible on a marked lanes violation.

Oct. 4

Kathleen S. Berard, 56, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded guilty to a Sept. 13 charge in West Tisbury of drunken driving, second offense. Ordered to 90 days in a house of correction, suspended two years and placed on probation for two years. Ordered to a 14-day inpatient program and aftercare and to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee. Found not responsible on a marked lanes violation, and a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Naomi Higgins Dias, 32, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a Feb. 12 charge in Oak Bluffs of larceny more than $250, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $50 monthly probation services fee, and not to contact or abuse the alleged victim. The charge stems from allegedly taking a watch from her ex-husband.

Naomi Higgins Dias, 32, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on Nov. 13, 2012 charges in Vineyard Haven of uttering a false check and larceny by check more than $250, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee.

Patrick K. O’Brien, 32, of Boston, pleaded guilty to an August 19 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, ordered to pay a $150 fine/assessment. Charges of intimidating a witness and larceny less than $250 were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.
