Editors, Vineyard Gazette:

Having seen a picture online for a recent project at the Polly Hill Arboretum, my six-year-old twin grand children were eager to go.

The project by potter Bill O’Callahan and puppeteer Robin Tuck is really magical and I encourage anyone who has a little spare time to go and see it. We were fortunate to meet the artist, complete with watering can, attending to his plants which are thoughtfully tucked into some of the spaces in his creations. The project is made up of whimsical sculptures which tell the story of the mythical voyage of the people known as the “keepers of the plants.” As the arboretum says: “A charming exhibit for young and old alike”.

Do go and see it, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
