The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court:

August 2

Hannah W. Porter, 25, of Harwich Port, was arraigned on March 17 charges in Chilmark of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and marked lanes violation. According to a police report filed in court, the charges stem from an alleged hit and run accident at Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival in which about four cars were hit outside the Chilmark Community Center. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 29.

August 5

Eskor Johnson, 25, of Vineyard Haven, had June 23 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery and disorderly conduct dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

August 9

Alicia C. Berrocales, 22, of Edgartown, arraigned on June 27 charges in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and marked lanes violation. According to an accident report, she allegedly side-swiped another car while driving in downtown Edgartown. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 6.

Angela Gulinello, 32, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on an August 5 charge in Vineyard Haven of violating an abuse prevention order. Sept. 6 pretrial hearing scheduled.

Jeffrey R. Lessa, 44, of South Dartmouth, arraigned on August 9 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 6.

Blake G. McQuade, 21, of New Bedford, arraigned on August 5 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating under the influence of drugs (marijuana), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended. According to a police report filed in court, he was driving a Your Taxi van and crashed into a guardrail on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven road near Goodale’s. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 26.

Keith A. Yasinsky, 41, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 11 charges in Vineyard Haven of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage. According to a police report filed in court, he allegedly hit a sign near the five corners intersection while he was driving a Martha’s Vineyard taxi. He allegedly told police that his small dog jumped in his lap, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 3.

August 12

Wayne H. Audette, 46, of Fairhaven, arraigned on an August 9 charge in Vineyard Haven of trespassing. According to a police report filed in court, he allegedly trespassed on a private dock and then boarded a private boat. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 13.

Christopher Blanding, 39, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a September 2000 charge of drunken driving in Vineyard Haven, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. Found not responsible on a charge of speeding, and charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. According to a police report filed in court, he was arrested in late July on a warrant that was issued in December 2000.

John D. Cecilio, 56, of Edgartown, arraigned on an August 10 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a car). According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Cecilio allegedly tried to pull his car into a restricted parking spot in the Backdoor Doughnuts parking lot, where there were about 75 people, including numerous children, in line. He allegedly hit a parking attendant who told him not to park in the spot because it was reserved for customers. “After being warned several times, he continued to accelerate the gas and drove into the lower leg area of [the attendant],” the report said. Police said there were no significant injuries. Pretrial hearing set for Sept. 13.

Aron D. Jackson, 56, of Aquinnah, had an April 16 charge in Aquinnah of assault and battery dismissed upon request of the commonwealth without prejudice.

Schuyler D. Jamison, 41, of Oak Bluffs, pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery of a check, two counts of uttering false check, and two counts of receiving stolen property less than $250 on Feb. 13 in Edgartown. Ordered to one year of probation, not to contact the victim, to send a letter of apology and to pay a $90 victim/witness assessment fee.

Schuyler D. Jamison, 41, of Oak Bluffs, had a Feb. 21 charge in Oak Bluffs of intimidating a witness dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Michael J. Lipinsky, 48, of Edgartown, arraigned on an August 11 charge in Edgartown of domestic assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 30.

William A. Thomason, 33, of Denham Springs, La., was arraigned on an August 11 charge in Vineyard Haven of domestic assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 30.
