If trees could talk what story would they tell? Tom Clark, curator at Polly Hill Arboretum, knows better than most.

On Tuesday, June 11, he will lead a walking tour and share stories about the trees of the arboretum. Meet at 10 a.m. at the arboretum, 809 State Road in West Tisbury, for an hour-long trek. Cost is $5 or free for Polly Hill members.

Mr. Clark takes the stage, or wooded path, again on Saturday, June 22, to talk about propagating plants. The workshop is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. After the talk, visitors are welcome to gather cuttings on the arboretum grounds and then prepare them for propagation. Be sure to bring a pair of sharp hand pruners and maybe an apron as well.

Cost is $45 or $40 for members. Preregistration is required and space is limited so call 508-693-9426.
