A wedding rehearsal fireworks display will be on full view next week in Edgartown.

The town selectmen this week approved an application for fireworks on June 14 at 9 p.m. from a barge off Fuller street beach.

The application was submitted by the Lobianco family, and the fireworks will be for a wedding rehearsal dinner with 190 people.

According to the application, a $1,500 fee was paid, and the harbor master will require a 500-foot safety zone around the barge. There will be three to five detail officers and a marine response unit, which the applicant will be billed for after the event. The fire department will also be on hand.

The applicant is required to have someone posted at the end of Fuller street to direct spectators toward Lighthouse Beach. There are nesting plovers and a tern colony at Little Beach, which is adjacent to Fuller street beach. A biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife department said the fireworks would not have an adverse affect on the plovers, since spectators will not be viewing from the habitat area.
