Brittany C. Withers, 23, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on April 7 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 3. Jake C. Merrill, 32, of Vineyard Haven, had a March 9 charge of disorderly conduct in Oak Bluffs dismissed if $150 in court costs were paid forthwith.

 

April 19

Robert J. Francis Jr., 54, of West Tisbury, had an Oct. 3 charge in West Tisbury of assault and battery dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Samuel J. Kistler, 51, of Edgartown, was arraigned on an April 14 charge in Edgartown of domestic assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 10.

Paul J. Strople, 56, of Vineyard Haven, had a March 14 charge of assault and battery in Vineyard Haven dismissed without prejudice upon request of the victim.

 

April 26

Ryan Dunbar, 20, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a Feb. 9 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle in Edgartown, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay a $250 head injury assessment fee, a $50 victim/witness assessment fee, and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Found not responsible on charges of license not in possession and marked lanes violation, and found not guilty on a miscellaneous statutory violation.

Joseph A. Mccormick, 27, of Edgartown, had a Jan. 17 Oak Bluffs charge of violating an abuse prevention order dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Joseph A. Mccormick, 27, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on Dec. 22 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery and threat to commit a crime, continued without a finding for two years. Ordered not to abuse the alleged victim, to remain in treatment, take all medications as prescribed by a doctor, to have anger counseling, and to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $65 monthly probation services fee.

Ronald E. Pine, 46, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on June 1, 2011 charges of an employer failing to pay wages timely. According to a document in court filed by a former employee, he allegedly refused to pay the employee for 69 hours worked in 2011. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 24.

Stephanie Sullivan, 30, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Jan. 22 charges in Oak Bluffs of leaving the scene of property damage (a parked car) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 24.
