Celebrities (or almost celebrities) will be devising all sorts of schemes and gambits to earn tips as they serve dinner at the sixth annual Celebrity Waiters Dinner fundraiser for PeaceQuilts on Saturday, May 4, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Federated Church in Edgartown. A pasta dinner with all the trimmings is being cooked up by Joe Capobianco. The cost for dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 max for families.

Guests are encourged to purchase “funny money” to be used to tip the waiters. The event is being sponsored by the Edgartown Federated Church Missions Committee to help support the work of Island nonprofit PeaceQuilts and its work to help poor women in Haiti.
