The Island Theatre Workshop is headed to Pooh Corner. Well, Pooh Bear himself won’t be the main attraction but A. A. Milne is the man of the weekend. The woman of the weekend is Taffy McCarthy who directs this play based on works by Mr. Milne. The show begins next Thursday, May 9, and runs through Saturday, May 11, at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. The first part of the performance will feature staged versions of poems from Mr. Milne’s classic books of poetry When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six.

The play also spoofs comedy of manners such as The Importance of Being Earnest.

The cast includes Jesse Seward, Katie Feeks, Rykerr Manyrd, Jane Loutzenhiser, Phil Kane and Buck Reidy.

Tickets are $12 and $8 for students available only at the door.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on May 9, 10 and 11 with a 4:30 p.m. matinee performance on May 11.
