What a horrific week in Boston. Not being one to really care about watching television, I must have watched for 12 hours as the news unfolded. Boston certainly showed strength through the ordeal and there are so many professional people who are to be thanked for all their amazing work including the federal, state and local law enforcements agencies, emergency medical personnel, volunteers, the hospitals and staff, and everyone who offered their support. President Obama to Governor Patrick to Mayor Menino, and to Police Commissioner Davis. It was an impressive week. Donations may be made to The One Fund, Inc. in Boston. The scalloping season is still in full swing in Aquinnah, which has been very helpful to those fishermen still scalloping each day. The season has been extended later than usual and if the state agrees, it will be extended another two weeks.
