Forget about the Boston Tea Party, on Wednesday, March 27 Adam Moore, executive director of Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, will present a slide show and lecture on how the white pine tree contributed to the start of the American Revolution.

Evidently the King of England reserved the white pine trees for ships’ masts — for the exclusive use of the Admiralty. The trees were marked with the “King’s Broad Arrow,” which consisted of three hatchet marks forming an upward-pointed arrow. Enough is enough, the colonists said.
