Vineyard House ended another year in the black, thanks to strong end-of-year appeals and fund-raising, the sober housing facility announced at its annual general meeting on Feb. 18.

The meeting also served as an election for the organization’s officers.

Mark Jenkins will remain on as president of the board of directors, with Beth Toomey and John Early as co-vice presidents, Brian Mackey as treasurer and Pat Gregory as clerk, the organization announced. Tim Dobel, Janina Kean, Sheila Shapiro and Jack Shea continue as additional board directors for 2013.

Vineyard House provides housing for Islanders in early recovery from substance abuse, and owns three homes in Oak Bluffs: two for men and one for women.

All residents must pay rent, attend support group meetings, submit to regular random drug and alcohol testing and participate in house meetings and activities. The organization maintains a lean operation, with only one full-time employee and three part-time employees. For more information, visit vineyardhouse.org.
