The only thing I can say about the weather is that we have been lucky to have snow for the kids to play in, and then the rain to wash it away in a few days. Unfortunately, there has been a little shoveling to go along with it.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Jackson Pachico who celebrated his day on Feb. 16; to Caroline Moffett on Feb. 17; to Kaitlyn Freeman and Ana Kurelja on Feb. 18; to Ennis Foster on Feb. 19; to Kimberly De Araujo on Feb. 20; and to James White who celebrates his day today, Feb. 22.

Karen Kukolich is back home recovering from double knee replacement. Here is to a speedy recovery, and we know you will listen to your physical therapist.

Barbara Polleys Parker and her husband, Charlie, are now residents of Agawam. They have moved into an assisted living home where they will be nearer to Charlie’s daughter. It will also give Barbara’s other children a chance to visit more often. Good luck in your new home. The Adult and Community Education (ACE MV) program has posted their new schedule which starts on March 12. In-person registration is on March 5 at the high school. Classes include iPad and Connections, World Religion, Basic Auto Maintenance for Women, Tips for the Actor, Wampanoag Cooking and Recovery Education. Nutrition Coach Griffin Hughes leads a diet workshop at the Mansion House Health Club to explore how stress and metabolic and hormonal mechanism influence how we store calories on March 4 at 6:15 p.m. The class also teaches lifestyle tips and modifications to help gain control of weight. Each month Ms. Griffin explores a new topic, based on what workshop attendees would like to learn next. Classes are free to health club members and $12 for walk-ins.
