The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Dec. 10

Dakota Delviento, 19, of Oak Bluffs, was found guilty following a bench trial of May 27 Edgartown charges of four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 and over, breaking and entering during daytime for a felony, person in fear, and indecent exposure. Ordered hospitalized at Bridgewater State Hospital for observation and examination for not more than 40 days. The hospital is to prepare a written report of clinical findings and recommendations in order to aid the court in sentencing, set for Jan. 11, 2013. Alleged to have entered the property of a 17-year-old girl to whom he had been sending harassing text messages for two days, removed his clothing and fondled the girl.

Sharon H. Fisher, 46, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on a Dec. 7 Oak Bluffs charge of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing was set for March 15, 2013. Ordered to have no contact with alleged victim.

Vitor J. Silva, 23, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on a Dec. 9 Oak Bluffs charge of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing set for Jan. 10, 2013.

Dec. 12

Grace Bochicchio, 53, of Edgartown, placed on six months probation for April 22 Oak Bluffs charges of violating a harassment prevention order.

Scott P. Dawley, 46, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 10 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving, second offense; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and failure to stop/yield. A jury trial was set for Jan. 15, 2013.

Dec. 13

Paul R. Fiedler, 49, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on Dec. 12 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving, fourth offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing was set for Jan. 22, 2013.

Marjo Gjoka, 22, of Edgartown found guilty of Nov. 13 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Ordered to pay $1,500 fine and $500 in fees. Found not responsible for charges of failure to stop/yield and failure to wear a seat belt.

Patrick A. Joyce, 26, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on a July 4 Tisbury charge of assault and battery. Continued without a finding for one year, ordered to pay $50 in fees and stay away from victim. Charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (an automobile) and wanton destruction of property less than $250 were dismissed upon request of commonwealth. Alleged to have hit in the face an underage girl for whom he was procuring alcohol and striking the back of the girl’s legs with his car when she exited his car.

Helen M. Uusitalo, 57, of Edgartown, arraigned on Dec. 12 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving, second offense and a motor vehicle lights violation. A pre-trial hearing was set for Jan. 11. 2013.

Dec. 14

Daniel Parker, 59, of Vineyard Haven, was sentenced to 18 months of pretrial probation for three charges of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. Mr. Parker was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or his family. The charges stem from allegations that Mr. Parker sexually assaulted a seven-year-old boy.

Richard B. Sands, 62, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a Dec. 6 Oak Bluffs charge of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth; found not responsible for a marked lanes violation.
