Donn A. Randall and Sally Lodge Randall of Wellesley and East Chop and Dr. Gerald A. Beltz and Dr. Barbara Symonds Beltz of Lexington and Edgartown proudly announce the engagement of their children, Amy Armstrong Randall and Christopher Wichman Beltz.

Amy is a graduate of St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H., and Amherst College. She is currently a second-year MBA student at the Boston College Wallace Carroll School of Management. A graduate of Lexington High School and Trinity College, Chris earned his master’s degree in conservation biology at Antioch University New England.

Both Amy and Chris have deep Island roots, and spent many of their childhood summers on the Vineyard. Amy’s maternal grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James T. Lodge, were longtime summer residents of East Chop, as were her maternal great-grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James F. Armstrong. Her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Cannon, currently of Westwood, lived for many years in Edgartown, first as summer and then as year-round residents. Their most recent Edgartown home was located next door to that of Chris’s maternal grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Symonds, who summered on the Island for many years.
