Multicultural Art Show

The Harlem Fine Art Show (HFAS) will present a multicultural art show at Island Inn in Oak Bluffs on August 9 through 12. This is the first time the show has traveled to Martha’s Vineyard from its usual home in New York city. It has also teamed up with Pathway to Your Success, an Island non-profit dedicated to helping parents and their children plan future career choices.

Pathway is a program geared to children, teens and their parents by giving them access to information about particular professions: bio-chemist, chiropractor, architect, theater arts, engineer, teacher, physician and more, and the required schooling, grade point averages and salaries relating to each job. Natalie Dickerson created the program for MVTV and conducted numerous interviews, all of which are available at mvtv.org.

On Thursday night there will be an opening night party beginning at 6:30 p.m. and running until 9:30 p.m., at Hooked Restaurant with a cover fee of $30. Some of the 30 artists participating in the art show will be in attendance. The show continues through Sunday on a donation basis.
