The excitement from baseball doesn’t just come from fast pitches and big hits. At 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, June 27, the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society along with the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and Martha’s Vineyard Little League Baseball screens Knuckleball! outdoors at the Vineyard Baseball Park at the regional high school.

The documentary follows former Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield and R. A. Dickey of the New York Mets through the 2011 major league season. The dreaded knuckleball, an intentionally slow and unpredictable pitch, was the key to these pitchers’ success.

Baseball Fest begins at 6 p.m. and the movie starts around 8:30 p.m. The film runs 90 minutes and is family friendly.
