The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

April 30

Asa W. French, 26, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 28 Oak Bluffs charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. A pretrial hearing was continued to May 24.

Robert G. Parkhurst, 59, of Edgartown, was arraigned on April 28 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving, fourth offense, marked lanes violation, and operating under the influence of drugs (Klonopin). Bail was set at $2,000 cash and a May 25 pretrial hearing scheduled.

May 4

Richard J. Corwin, 27, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts for a Nov. 5 Edgartown charge of possessing to distribute class B drugs (Percocet), continued without a finding for three years. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $65 monthly probation services fee for the first two years, $50 a month for the third year, to remain drug-free with random screens and seek treatment as mandated by probation, and to forfeit $1,990. Other Nov. 5 Oak Bluffs charges of possessing class B drugs (Percocet) and conspiracy to violate drug law were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Richard J. Corwin, 27, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded guilty to Nov. 25 Edgartown charge of possessing class B drugs (Suboxone), placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee. A Nov. 25 charge of possessing to distribute class B drugs (Percocet) was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Stanley J. Johnson, 52, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Feb. 10 Oak Bluffs charges of failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, speeding in violation of special regulations, resisting arrest, and wanton destruction of property more than $250. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 21.

Eduardo V. Rodriguez, 25, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to a Dec. 22 Edgartown charge of assault and battery, placed on probation for two years. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment and complete 150 hours of community service.

Thomas D. Williams 3rd, 44, of Basking Ridge, N.J., pleaded guilty to an August 23 Oak Bluffs charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Placed on probation for one year, and ordered to pay $500 in fees and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Found responsible for an August 23 charge of failure to stop/yield. Another August 23 charge of drunken driving was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, and he was found not responsible for a marked lanes violation.

Patrick S. Medeiros, 27, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on May 4 Oak Bluffs charges of drunken driving and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A May 24 pretrial hearing was scheduled.

May 7

Kevin S. Look, 29, of Edgartown, was arraigned on May 6 Edgartown charges of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, malicious destruction of property more than $250, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to police, the charges stem from an altercation Sunday at a cookout in Edgartown, where Mr. Look allegedly made advances toward another man’s girlfriend. Mr. Look then allegedly slashed three car tires when the couple tried to leave and assaulted the man with a knife. The alleged victim, a 22-year-old man, had non-life-threatening injuries to his hand and torso, and he was treated at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and released Sunday evening. Bail for Mr. Look was set at $1,000, and a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 25.
