Alexander W. Bendavid, 18, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on a March 6 charge of assault and battery in Oak Bluffs. A March 19 pretrial hearing was scheduled.

March 8

Ian G. Brew, 19, of Oak Bluffs admitted to sufficient facts on an Oct. 8 Vineyard Haven charge of malicious destruction of more than $250 in property, continued without a finding for 26 months. Ordered to pay a $50 victim witness assessment fee and a $65 monthly probation services fee.

Ian G. Brew, 19, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts for Jan. 19 Vineyard Haven charges of assault and battery, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, continued without a finding for two years. Ordered to pay $100 in victim witness fees, complete 30 hours of community service, be evaluated for level three probation status and participation in same if deemed appropriate, and to comply with all treatment.

Kyle J. Bubay, 19, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts for Oct. 28 Oak Bluffs charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a person under 21 possessing liquor, continued without a finding for six months and ordered to pay a $50 victim witness assessment fee and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Found not responsible for an unregistered motor vehicle charge. Charges of a plate number violation to conceal identity and uninsured motor vehicle were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Carlos R. Deoliveira, 40, of Edgartown, had Nov. 22 charges of assault and battery and intimidating a witness in Edgartown dismissed without prejudice.

Carlos M. Fialho, 26, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to an Oct. 31 Oak Bluffs charge of false/misuse of liquor ID card/license, placed on probation for one year, ordered to pay a $50 victim witness assessment and a $50 monthly probation services fee and to complete 20 hours of community service. A charge of intimidating a witness was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Joseph B. Gonsalves, 44, of Oak Bluffs, will have a June 2011 charge of assault and battery in Oak Bluffs dismissed upon payment of fees.

Patrick A. Joyce, 25, of Edgartown, was arraigned for March 7 Vineyard Haven charges of operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended, uninsured motor vehicle, and possessing to distribute class B drugs (Percocet/Oxycodone). Bail was set at $300 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 6.

March 9

Eugene D. Brice 2nd, 47, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned for drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle on Feb. 10 in Vineyard Haven. A March 29 pretrial hearing was scheduled.

John M. McElhinney, 51, of Edgartown pleaded guilty to a Nov. 5 Edgartown charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay $300 in fees and a $65 monthly probation fee. Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing class B drugs, continued without a finding for one year and ordered to remain illicit drug-free with random screens. A Nov. 5 charge of drunken driving was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for a marked lane violation, unregistered motor vehicle, and a motor vehicle lights violation.

Scott A. Francis, 46, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned for a March 8 Edgartown charge of operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for drunken driving. Bail was set at $100, and a pretrial hearing scheduled for March 30.

Heather A. Kelley, 39, of Edgartown, was arraigned for March 8 charges of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle in Oak Bluffs. Bail was set at $100 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for March 19.

March 12

Lauren L. Oskan, 33, of West Tisbury, was arraigned for violating a harassment prevention order on March 12 in Edgartown. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 19.

March 13

Brendan G. Crane, 29, of New York, N.Y., admitted to sufficient facts for a Sept. 10 charge of drunken driving in Edgartown, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and a $65 monthly probation fee, and to complete an alcohol education program and lose license for 45 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth; he was found not responsible for a marked lanes violation.
