The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Feb. 17

Wade G. Jones, 41, of Millsboro, Del., pleaded guilty to an August 11 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle in Oak Bluffs, placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay $925 in fees and a $50 monthly probation services fee. An August 11 charge of drunken driving was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, found not guilty of speeding in violation of special regulation.

Joseph M. Furlong, 37, of Fairfield, Conn., was found guilty of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle on July 23 in Edgartown. Placed on probation for one year, and ordered to pay $850 in fees. Found not responsible for a marked lane violation.

Feb. 21

Daniel P. Weber, 32, of West Tisbury, arraigned for inhaling glue or a toxic substance on Feb. 20 in Edgartown.

Zadoc E. Moreis, 26, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned for disorderly conduct, assault and battery, threat to commit a crime (murder), and intimidating a witness on Feb. 19 in Oak Bluffs. During an altercation at Seasons Eatery and Pub, he allegedly threatened to slit the throat of an off-duty Tisbury police officer. Bail set at $400, ordered not to contact the alleged victims, to remain drug-free with screens, and to stay away from Seasons. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 5.

Feb. 23

Erik W. Nelson, 37, of Oak Bluffs arraigned on Feb. 22 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, second offense and child endangerment while operating under the influence. Bail set at $1,000, pretrial hearing scheduled for March 5.

Breanna M. McCormick, 23, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts in a Feb. 13 charge of drunken driving in Oak Bluffs, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, and to complete an alcohol education program and lose license for 45 days. Found not responsible for a marked lanes violation, charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

April Cerrato, 24, of Oak Bluffs pleaded guilty to larceny over $250 on Dec. 12 in Oak Bluffs for stealing $3,000 to $4,000 in jewelry, clothes and shoes from Island Outfitters. Placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay a $50 victim witness fee and $50 monthly probation services fee.

Feb. 24

Lauren E. Weaver, 30, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a July 27 charge of drunken driving in Oak Bluffs, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees, lose license for 45 days, and complete an alcohol education program. A second charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Emmett Cook, 18, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on a Nov. 11 charge of possessing to distribute class D drugs (marijuana) in Edgartown, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to forfeit $370.

Bryan T. Abrahamson, 61, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of drunken driving, fifth offense, marked lanes violation, failure to wear a seat belt, resisting arrest and threat to commit a crime on Feb. 23 in Oak Bluffs. He allegedly threatened to shoot a police officer in the head. Bail set at $5,000, ordered to remain alcohol-free with random screens and report twice weekly to probation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 5.

Feb. 27

Jerome C. Williams 3rd, 24, of Homewood, Ill., arraigned for aggravated assault and battery on Feb. 25 in Oak Bluffs for alleged involvement in a fight at Seasons Eatery and Pub in which the alleged victim had their jaw broken and lost a tooth. Bail set at $800, pretrial hearing scheduled for March 19.

Nigel Gibbs, 27, of Dorchester, arraigned for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) and aggravated assault and battery on Feb. 25 in Oak Bluffs. He was allegedly involved in a fight at Seasons Eatery and Pub in which the alleged victim had their jaw broken and lost a tooth. Bail set at $1,200, pretrial hearing scheduled for March 19.
