Hockey Helps Out

What the heck is a Stuff-a-Bus you may ask? Well, it’s something you want to be a part of.

The Martha’s Vineyard boys’ hockey team is teaming up with the Island Food Pantry and trying to fill a bus with food for needy families. But they can’t do it without your help.

Beginning Friday, Dec. 16, at 4 p.m. at the ice arena the bus is open for donations and it will remain open all weekend long. On Friday the bus stays open until 10 p.m, and on Saturday the hours are from 9 a.m. to midnight (with a brief break for their other activity, playing hockey). The JV game starts at 5 p.m. and the varsity skates at 6:10 p.m.

On Sunday the bus opens again from 9 to 11 a.m.

Stop by, bring some food, and cheer the team as they score goals on and off the ice.
