Churches around the Island will mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center with services of remembrance on Sunday.

The Service of Rememberance at FaithMV Church in Katama begins at 10 a.m.

In Edgartown, the Federated Church will begin its service at 10:30 a.m. A Service of Remembrance and Hope will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Andrews Church. The church will be open for personal prayer from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Community Baptist Church of Gay Head will hold a service entitled Then and Now at 9 a.m. The service will be repeated at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Vineyard Haven. Both services will be led by the Rev. Ellen P. Tatreau.
