The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

August 15

Richard S. Fortes, 18, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of false/misuse of a liquor ID card/license, forgery of document and uttering false writing. Offense occurred on August 14. Bail set at $100 bail and posted.

Scott A. Francis, 46, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charge of vandalizing property. Offense occurred on August 12. Bail set at $100 bail and posted, defendant informed of his right to a bail review.

Thiago Motta, 25, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charge of disorderly conduct. Offense occurred on August 14. Bail set at $100 bail and posted. Charge to be dismissed if $50 in costs paid forthwith.

Lauren M. Savoia, 28, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, failure to stop/yield and possession of unlawful fireworks. Offense occurred on August 13. Bail set at $200 bail and posted, defendant informed of right to bail review.

August 18

Michael L. McDonald, 25, of Edgartown, faced charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle lights violation. Offense occurred on August 11. Released on personal recognizance. Default warrant issued on August 18 after defendant failed to appear for pretrial hearing.

Breno E. Silva, 26, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charge of assault and battery. Offense occurred on August 17. Bail set at $200 bail and posted.

August 24

Amanda Lee Clark, 17, of Edgartown, arraigned on charge of assault and battery. Offense occurred on August 23. Defendant released on personal recognizance with $100 promise and informed of her right to a bail review.

August 25

Caleb W. Bacon, 20, of Peterborough, N.H., had arraignment on charges of unlawful wiretap and disorderly conduct continued to Sept. 1. Offense occurred on August 25.

Erik W. Nelson, 36, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Offense occurred on August 22. Defendant released on personal recognizance and bail warning given. Defendant ordered to stay away from alleged victim.

Robert E. Barbera 3rd, 49, of Vineyard Haven, faced charge of larceny by check over $250. Offense occurred on May 4. Arraignment originally scheduled for June 10 and then July 11, default warrant issued. Charge dismissed.

Milton L. Britton, 66, of Oak Bluffs faced charge of trafficking in cocaine. Offense occurred on March 18. Bail set at $500 and posted and bail warning given. Defendant informed of right to bail review and ordered to surrender passport. Charge dismissed, case moved to superior court.

Katie Anne Frommer, 32, of Ocoee, Fla., faced charges of larceny over $250, possession of a class E drug and larceny under $250. Offense occurred on May 22. Larceny over $250 to be dismissed if $60 in restitution paid forthwith. Remaining charges dismissed.

Lisa M. Hawkes, 35, of Edgartown, faced charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle. Offense occurred on July 29. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts to operating under the influence, case continued without a finding until August 22, 2012. Defendant ordered to pay $600 in fines and a monthly $65 probation services fee. Defendant further ordered to attend 24-day adult education class and will lose driver’s license for 45 days. Negligent operation charge dismissed, found not responsible for unregistered motor vehicle charge.

Christopher Montt, 20, of Forestdale, faced charges of person under 21 attempting to procure liquor and false/misuse of a liquor ID card/license. Offense occurred on August 22. Released on personal recognizance and bail warning given. Charges to be dismissed if eight hours of community service completed by Sept. 28.

Patrece L. Petersen, 39, of West Tisbury, arraigned on charge of disorderly conduct. Offense occurred on July 12. Bail warning given.

Timothy J. Schreck 2nd, 18, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of attempt to commit crime (10 counts). Offense occurred on July 5. Bail warning given.

Hans E. Vanlohuizen, 61, of West Tisbury had arraignment on charge of larceny over $250 rescheduled to Sept. 29. Offense occurred on July 3.

Katherine H. Vincent, 29, of Edgartown, faced charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield. Offense occurred on June 5. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts to operating under the influence, case was continued without a finding until August 22, 2012. Ordered to pay $350 in costs and a $65 monthly probation services fee. Further ordered to attend a 24-day alcohol education class and will lose driver’s license for 45 days. Negligent operation charge dismissed, found not responsible for failure to stop/yield.

August 26

Ryan S. Amaral, 22, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat at nighttime for felony and larceny over $250. Offense occurred on July 20. Reading waived, not guilty plea entered, defendant informed of right to bail review.

Daniel A. Ben David, 48, of Oak Bluffs, faced charges of unarmed burglary, breaking and entering building at nighttime for felony, break into depository, larceny over $250 and conspiracy. Offense occurred on March 18. Nolle prosequi on all charges.

Andrew L. Meyers, 33, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended and no inspection/sticker. Offense occurred on Feb. 16.

Elizabeth Perrine, 52, of Vineyard Haven was issued default warrant for failing to appear for arraignment on charges of larceny by check over $250 and larceny by check under $250. Offense occurred on May 4. Arraignment originally scheduled for June 24, July 22 and August 26.

Ashley L. Tate, 27, of Chepachet, R.I., faced charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended, going the wrong way on a state highway and leaving the scene of property damage. Admitted sufficient facts to operating under the influence, case was continued without a finding until August 22, 2012. Ordered to pay $350 in fines and a $65 monthly probation services fee. Further ordered to attend 24-day alcohol education class and will lose driver’s license for 45 days. Also admitted to sufficient facts to negligent operation of a motor vehicle, case continued without a finding until August 22, 2012. Operating without a registration charge to be dismissed if defendant is registered and licensed by Sept. 29. Found not responsible for going wrong way on a state highway, leaving the scene of property damage dismissed.

August 29

Nelson G. Martins, 39, of Taunton, faced charges of assault and battery and malicious destruction of property under $250. Placed on pretrial probation until Feb. 29, 2012, ordered to complete 20 hours of community service, further ordered not to abuse victim.

August 30

Richard Abrazinski, 49, of Edgartown, arraigned on charge of possession of a class E drug. Offense occurred on July 17. Arraignment originally scheduled for August 19 and August 25. Default warrants issued. Defendant released on personal recognizance.

Melissa C. Martin, 41, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of larceny over $250 (3) and larceny from building (3). Offense occurred on August 7. Released on personal recognizance, ordered to stay away from l’étoile, bail warning given.
