The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

August 3

Cesar Agundez, 29, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Bail set at $100.

August 4

Kevin M. Smith, 22, of Hamburg, N.J., arraigned for carrying a dangerous weapon. Paid $100, promised to forfeit his knife, case was closed.

Tyler J. Vosburg, 22, of Hamburg, N.J., arraigned for carrying a dangerous weapon. Paid $100, promised to forfeit his knife, case was closed.

Jacqueline M. Balaschak, 46, of West Tisbury, had arraignment continued for earlier charges of larceny by check under $250.

Kenneth B. Hurd, 24, of West Tisbury, pleaded guilty to negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Case continued without finding for a year.

David Thrift, 24, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned for intimidating a witness.

Dylan T. Walsh, 21, of Chilmark, fined $250 for operating under the influence, must fulfill a 24-day program and a 45-day loss of license for earlier charges of operating under the influence and speeding. Also sentenced to 20 hours of community service for additional charges of underage possession of liquor and selling liquor to persons under 21.

Nicholas Willoughby, 31, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned for an Oct. 27, 2010 complaint of larceny by check. Was also served a default warrant for an additional arraignment for larceny by check.

August 5

Sam A. Clark, 23, of Merion Station, Penn., arraigned on July 22 on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of special regulation. Offense occurred on July 22. Commonwealth dismissed the charge for operating under the influence, found responsible for marked lanes violation and found not responsible for speeding.

Ryan A. Cray, 20, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on two charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Offenses occurred on June 1 and August 3.

Gilmar S. Felix, 30, of Vineyard Haven, faced charges of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Offense occurred on Feb. 13; arraignment was on Feb. 14. Bail of $400 set and posted at time of arraignment. Bail revoked on August 1. Defendant waived his right to a jury trial after being held without bail, admitted to sufficient facts on assault and battery charge, case was continued without a finding until August 1, 2012. Defendant ordered to pay $50 in fines along with a $65 monthly probation services fee. Must remain alcohol free with screenings and attend anger management. Probation until August 1, 2012. Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge dismissed.

Joseph T. Lokitis, 23, of Norton, faced charges of possessing a class B drug. Offense occurred on July 5; arraignment on same day. Ordered to pay $250 in costs, charges will be dismissed if penalty paid forthwith.

Larissa Lovasco, 30, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on four charges of shoplifting by asportation. Offense occurred on June 2.

Bryan V. Marino, 37, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of malicious destruction of property in excess of $250. Offense occurred on June 15. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts, case continued without a finding until August 1, 2012. Ordered to pay $1,330.80 in restitution. Probation services fee waived until November 2011.

Patrick L. Melvin, 22, of Oak Bluffs, faced charges of larceny over $250, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and possession of unlawful fireworks. Offense occurred on July 4; araignment was on July 5. Bail set at $200 and posted at arraignment. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts, case continued without a finding until August 1, 2012. Defendant ordered to attend a 24-day program, 45-day loss of license, pay $350 in fines and costs and a $65 monthly probation services fee.

Robert F. Tolken, 22, of Bourne, faced charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Offense occurred on July 16; arraignment on July 18. Bail set at $100 and posted at arraignment. Admitted to sufficient facts on operating under the influence, case was continued without a finding until August 1, 2012. Ordered to attend a 24-day program, 45-day loss of license, pay $350 in fines and costs and $65 monthly probation services fee. Commonwealth dismissed negligent operation charge, defendant found responsible for marked lanes violation and not responsible for speeding.

Bernard M. Wojnowski, 35, of Vineyard Haven arraigned for a threat to commit a crime. Arraignment was continued.

August 8

Kerigan Whalen, 18, of Vineyard Haven, faced charges of larceny from building and trespassing. Offense occurred on March 9; arraignment was on May 19. Admitted to sufficient facts, case was continued without a finding until August 8, 2012. Ordered to pay $90 in fines and $50 monthly probation services fee. Also ordered to complete 36 hours of community service, write a letter of apology and to stay away from the Mansion House.

John Stanton, 48, of Fairhaven, had charges of assault and battery and destruction of property greater than $250 dismissed.

Donald Muckerheide, 59, of Oak Bluffs, dismissed with $100 fine for municipal bylaw or ordinance violation of an onsite systems management violation.

Ashley L. Lapriere, 20, of East Brookfield, had charges of larceny over $250 dismissed. Must fulfill 24 hours community service and pay monthly $50 probation services fee.

Daniel K. Kaeka, 20, of West Tisbury saw charges of speeding, operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and underage possession of liquor dismissed. Fined $250, must fulfill a 24-day program, 45-day loss of license.

Susan Louise Finnerty, 50, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., had charges of operating under the influence, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed. Fined $250, must fulfill 24-day program, 45-day loss of license.

Gregg W. Pokraka, 43, of Woods Hole, arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery. Arraignment was continued,

Michael J. Noonan, 25, of Boston, arraigned on charges of trespassing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Bail set at $200.

Jaime B. Gaspar, 20, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of assault and battery. Bail set at $400.
