The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 18

Jaron Chaplin, 21, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of trespassing. Offense occurred on July 16. Bail set at $100 and posted. Charges to be dismissed if eight hours of community service completed by August 17.

Dylan Seder, 17, of Portland, Me., arraigned on charges of breaking and entering, misdemeanor. Offense occurred on July 16. Bail set at $250 and posted, bail warning given.

John H. Fidler 3rd, 19, of East Hampton, Conn., arraigned on charges of possession of liquor by a person under 21. Offense occurred on July 15. Bail set at $50 and posted.

Brian P. Lewis, 20, of North Attleboro, arraigned on charges of possession of liquor by a person under 21. Offense occurred on July 15. Bail set at $100 and posted.

Nelson G. Martins, 29, of Taunton, arraigned on charges of assault and battery and malicious destruction of property in excess of $250. Offense occurred on July 17. Bail set at $300 and posted, bail warning given.

July 25

Georgi T. Kanev, 24, of Oak Bluffs, had his case dismissed by the commonwealth. Arraigned on charges of receiving stolen property on June 27.

July 27

Ivan J. Steinle, 17, of North Haven, Conn., arraigned on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Released without bail.

July 28

Lauren E. Weaver, 30, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Released without bail.

Ashley L. Tate, 27, of Chepachet, R.I., arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended registration, going the wrong way on a state highway and leaving the scene of property damage. Bail set at $100.

Dean R. Shores, 34, of Sandwich, arraigned on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Bail set at $500. Also arraigned that day for assault and battery on a police officer. For that charge, released without bail.

July 29

Lisa M. Hawkes, 35, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and having an unregistered motor vehicle. Bail set at $100.

August 1

Richard Abrazinski, 49, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Offense occurred on July 31.

Ryan S. Amaral, 22, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of distributing a class B drug, possessing a class D drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug law and receiving stolen property of a value less than $250. Offense occurred on July 31. Defendant was released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

Gregory A. Blaize, 18, of Milton, arraigned on charges of possession of liquor by a person under 21. Offense occurred on July 30. Charges were dismissed prior to the arraignment scheduled for August 1.

Nicholas J. Caputo, 21, of Somerville, arraigned on charges of conspiracy to violate drug law and possession of a class B drug. Offense occurred on July 31. Bail set at $100 and posted, bail warning given.

James A. Coffone, 40, of East Falmouth, arraigned on charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

Hildo M. Desouza, Jr., 31, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of assault and battery and aggravated assault and battery. Offense occurred on July 30. Defendant released on personal recognizance and bail warning given. Defendant ordered not to abuse alleged victim.

Jennifer Murray, 18, of Edgartown, fined $100 and sentenced to eight hours of community service for a Dec. 11 charge of operating a motor vehicle without a license.

August 2

Christopher Derr, 47, of Charlestown, arraigned on charges of breaking and entering, misdemeanor. Offense occurred on August 1. Bail set at a promised $1,000.

James G. Lawson, 21, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. Released without bail.

Michael P. Leahy, 18, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon. Bail set at $100 surety.

Christopher K. Mittell, 38, of Dorchester, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Released without bail.

Ruth Mittell, 66, of Dorchester, arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct. Released without bail.

Szilard Vincze, 21, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Offense occurred on July 31.

Rumen Ivanov Akov, 21, of Vineyard Haven had charges of operating an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle without a license dismissed with a $50 fine.
