The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court:

July 20

William T. Dunlop, 20, of Ipswich, arraigned on charges of underage possession of alcohol and using a false identification card to buy alcohol.

Matthew J. Latter, 20, of Beverly, arraigned on charges of underage procurement of alcohol.

July 21

Robert E. Barbera 3rd, 49, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of larceny by check over $250. Offense occurred on May 4.

Joshua J. Cotterill, 23, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation. Offense occurred on July 21. Bail set at $200 and posted, bail warning given.

Joshua K. Edwards, 28, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (pavement) and intimidating a witness. Offense occurred on July 21. Bail set at $1,000 bail, $150 counsel fee set, bail warning given. Defendant advised of right to bail review.

Jacob Locke, 26, of Abington, arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended and an uninsured motor vehicle. Offense occurred on Sept. 28, 2010. Arraignment originally scheduled for Dec. 6, 2010, default warrant was issued. Defendant released on his own recognizance.

Joseph Lacaprucia, 23, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of vandalizing property and assault and battery. Offense occurred on July 2. Bail set at $100 and bail warning given. Defendant informed of right to bail review. Guilty plea entered to both charges, sentenced to two and a half years in a house of correction, six months served. Placed on probation until July 23, 2014. Restitution to be determined, defendant must avoid contact with victim.

Brandi Seelye, 58, of West Tisbury, arraigned on charges of uttering a false check. Offense occurred on April 18. Charges dismissed at request of commonwealth.

Doris Schmidt, 33, of Oak Bluffs, to be arraigned on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended and uninsured motor vehicle. Offense occurred on April 18. New service issued.

Michael H. Sisco, 36, of Edgartown, to be arraigned on charges of criminal harassment. Offense occurred on July 16. Arraignment continued, defendant unable to be arraigned due to intoxication. New arraignment scheduled for August 1.

July 22

Sam A. Clark, 33, of Merion Station, Pa., arraigned on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Offense occurred on July 22. Defendant released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

Marcella Cappello, 26, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of violating a municipal bylaw or ordinance. Charges dismissed without prejudice upon request of the commonwealth before arraignment.

Anthony M. Cardoza, 21, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 27 on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, trespass, leave scene of property damage, using a motor vehicle without authority and malicious destruction of property in excess of $250. Offenses occurred on May 27. Surety set at $250, bail warning given and defendant informed of right to bail review. Assault and battery on a police officer, leaving the scene of property damage, using a motor vehicle without authority, trespass and malicious destruction of property dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts to resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, case continued without a finding until July 18, 2012. Defendant ordered to pay $50 in fines and monthly $50 probation services fee. Ordered to complete 24 hours of community service.

Brian M. Gallo, 41, of West Tisbury, faced charges of uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle. Offense occurred on Sept. 1, 2010; arraigned in November 2010. Uninsured motor vehicle charge to be dismissed if court costs of $500 paid by Oct. 19. Defendant found not responsible for unregistered motor vehicle charge.

Samuel Kistler, 21, of West Boylston, faced charges of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended. Offense occurred on Nov. 19, 2010. Defendant admitted to sufficient facts, case continued without a finding until July 18, 2012. Defendant ordered to pay $50 in fines and monthly $50 probation services fee. Defendant also ordered to complete four hours of community service.

Paul W. Margeson, 41, of Oak Bluffs, faced charges of unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, no inspection or sticker and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended for operating under the influence. Offense occurred on March 3. Released on personal recognizance, bail warning given. Pleaded guilty to unlicensed operation, found guilty of not having an inspection or sticker and ordered to pay $150 in fines. Final charge dismissed at request of commonwealth.

July 25

Richard Abrazinski, 49, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Offense occurred on July 22. Released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

William H. Bookwalter, 46, of Somerville, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Offense occurred on July 24. Bail set at $200, posted and bail warning given.

Michail T. Burford, 21, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on charges of larceny under $250. Defendant admitted sufficient facts, case continued without a finding until Jan. 25, 2012. Ordered to complete eight hours of community service by August 25.

Jack E. Butman, 78, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and resisting arrest. Offense occurred on July 24. Bail set at $100 and posted.

Joshua K. Edwards, 28, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of violating an abuse prevention order.

Gregory L. Spain, 64, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of assault and battery. Bail set at $200.

Matthew B. Murphy, 22, of Wakefield, arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, a lights violation, and driving without a license in possession. Bail set at $200, with a potential of revocation.

Robert H. Parker, 28, of West Tisbury, arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended license, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failing to stop or yield. Bail set at $100.

Melissa Neuner, 38, arraigned on charges of violating an abuse prevention order.

Vincent J. Milano 3rd, 24, of Westwood, arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Philip R. Mendes, 21, of Westborough, arraigned on charges of indecent exposure.

Cody J. Litchfield, 20, of East Falmouth, arraigned on charges of larceny from building, credit card larceny and three counts of credit card fraud under $250.

Juliane Leazott, 45, of Medway, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and speeding. Bail set at $100.

Joseph M. Furlong, 37, of Fairfield, Conn., arraigned on charges of marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence. Bail set at $200.

Nelson Ferreira, 35, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of assault and battery. Bail set at $400.

Daniel Edelbach, 21, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of assault and battery with the potential for bail revocation.

Michail Burfrod, 21, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned for June 20 offense of larceny under $250. Jury waived following a colloquy. Pretrial hearing held on two charges of larceny over $250, two receipts of stolen property. Further charges of larceny over $250 dismissed by the commonwealth with consent of defendant.

David Thrift, 29, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of rape of a child (under 16) with force, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and resisting arrest. Also arraigned for assault and battery of wife, violating an abuse prevention order and indecent assault and battery of a person over the age of 14.

Rebecca Carol, 19, of Leominster, arraigned on five charges of shoplifting by concealing. Offense occurred on July 24. Agreed to perform eight hours community service.

Craig Rozario, 34, of Edgartown, had charges from Dec. 11 2009 amended. Subsequent offense of Class B drug possession reduced to possession. Sentenced to six months in a house of correction with two years suspended probation. Has been transferred to New Bedford, where will submit to random drug testing. Ordered that $751 from bail be used to pay a fine owed on an additional case. For second charge, sentenced to additional six months in house of correction, suspended for two years, concurrent with first count. Placed on probation until July 24, 2013.

July 26

Amanda J. Fenner, 31, of Chilmark, arraigned on charges of assault and battery. Offense occurred on July 25. Defendant released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

David Lee Millen 2nd, 17, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct. Offense occurred on July 25. Defendant released on personal recognizance, bail warning given.

Rumen I. Akov, 21, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle. Offense occurred on July 26.

Kevin Sturtevant, 34, of Plymouth, arraigned on charges of larceny over $250 and disorderly conduct. Bail set at $200.

Semen Gladkoskok, 23, of Quincy, arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended license, driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle, speeding in violation of a special regulation, and failing to stop for the police. Also arraigned on additional charge of possession of Class E drugs.
