The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 11

Lee Ann Yeddo, 38, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of assault and battery.

July 12

Michael T. Cottens, 27, of Southborough, arraigned on charges of a second offense of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. Bail set at $100.

July 13

Trevor S. Bauchens, 32, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of unlicensed and improper operation of a motor vehicle.

Henry E. Miller, 46, of Edgartown, arraigned for open and gross lewdness.

July 14

Timothy Sauer, 24, of Edgartown, had case closed. Charged in 2008 with second offense of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Jane V. Thomas, 46, of Oak Bluffs had 2010 charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest dismissed.

July 15

Zachary A. Beatty, 34, of Milford, Conn., arraigned on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a lights violation in Tisbury. Paid $120 fine, case disposed of.

William C. Elliston, 25, of Chilmark arraigned in West Tisbury for fourth offense of operating under the influence, using a motor vehicle without authority, and operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for a previous offense of operating under the influence. Bail set at $500 cash with $5,000 surety. Further conditions of daily alcohol testing, no motor vehicle operation, counseling and attendance at AA meetings.

Benjamin Higgins, 31, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned for violating an abuse prevention order. Will seek an appeal on August 1.

William J. Bernard, 41, of Edgartown, had his case dismissed by the commonwealth. Previously arraigned for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle that had a suspended registration.

Melissa Cheusde, 38, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges from late May of assault and battery. Required to undergo counseling as mandated by probation for alcohol and anger issues, must remain alcohol and illicit drugfree with random screens, refrain from the abuse of victim, and placed on probation until next July. Arraigned on separate charges the same day of assault and battery and sentenced to a year-long probation.

Kayla Manning, 21, of West Tisbury, arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage as well as a passing violation. Offenses occurred on May 28.

Amir Sheybain-Nezhad, 18, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on charges of shoplifting by asportation. Will pay $130 in restitution and do 20 hours of community service. A status review of his payments will be held on Oct. 12.

Adam V. Tucker, 23, of Edgartown had a pretrial conference on charges of possessing class D drugs with intent to distribute, possessing Class B drugs, negligent operation of motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Case continued without finding for a year. Also arraigned on June 30 on two charges of assault and battery, one with a dangerous weapon. Sentenced to two years in a house of correction, with six months served and the balance on residential parole. Must remain illicit drug and alcohol free with testing, undergo counseling as mandated by probation, refrain from abuse of victim and placed on probation until July 10, 2013.

James A Willis, 28, of Oak Bluffs, faced charges of assault and battery. Will serve two years in a house of correction, remain drug and alcohol free with random screening for two years and undergo counseling, including substance abuse counseling. A violation of abuse prevention order mandated same terms as initial offense. Also fined $500 for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

July 18

Dylan Seder, 17, of Portland, Me., arraigned on charges of breaking and entering, a misdemeanor. Bail set at $200.

John H. Fidler 3rd, 19, of East Hampton, Conn., arraigned on charges of underage possession of alcohol. Bail set at $50.

Brian P. Lewis, 20, of North Attleboro, arraigned on charges of underage possession of liquor. Bail set at $100.

Susan Louise Finnerty, 50, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Nelson Gomes Martins, 29, of Taunton, arraigned on charges of assault and battery and malicious destruction of property less than $250 in Oak Bluffs. Bail set at $300.

Joseph E. Samuel, 20, of Merrick, N.Y., arraigned on charges of false or improper use of an identification card to obtain liquor and of intimidating a witness. Bail set at $300.

Robert F. Tolken, 21, of Bourne, arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Bail set at $100.

Tyler S. Raddatz, 20, of East Hampton, Conn., arraigned on charges of underage possession of alcohol. Bail set at $50.

Nicholas Sabilia, 20, of Oakdale, Conn., arraigned on charges of underage possession of liquor. Bail set at $50.
