Shauna Beth Grob and Timothy W. Stanley were married at the bridegroom’s family’s residence on South Road in Chilmark, on May 29. As sea mists drifted in over Chilmark Pond, the couple exchanged wedding vows on the lawn. Flavia Stanley, the bridegroom’s sister, officiated.

Eva Stanley, the bridegroom’s niece, was flower girl.

The wedding celebration started with a picnic the day before at the Stanley home, which featured a performance by folksinger Fruity Johnson. The reception following the wedding included dinner and dancing, which was contemporary with one spirited hora.

The bride is the daughter of Jost and Jacqueline Grob of Flanders, N.J. The bridegroom is the son of Timothy and Nadia Stanley, both deceased.

The couple is honeymooning in Paris and the south of France. They will reside in Manhattan.
