The Little League season wraps up this Sunday with two championship games at Veira Park. The minor league game will be held at 11 a.m., while the major league championship will take place at 1:30 p.m.

Game play finished Thursday for the majors with a matchup between the Cardinals and the As (scores were unavailable at press time), the winner of which will go to the championship game.

The Cardinals played their previous game against the Tigers, winning 4-0 to secure their spot in the semifinals. Tristan Araujo contributed two runs for the Tigers, while Jack Murray put the team up 2-0 on a two-out RBI single in the fifth.

Earlier in the week, the Tigers took on the Red Sox for a 13-8 win on Saturday. Hunter Cleary, making his second career start for the Tigers, earned his first career victory by allowing just three hits in three innings. Teammate Mitchell Chaves had a career first as well with his third-inning solo home run.

James Sashin was one home run away from the cycle, hitting a single, double and triple for the Sox. Teammate Graham Lewis drove in two runs, with Jeremy Regan scoring three times.

The Red Sox bats continued their hot streak on Tuesday, taking a 16-2 win over the Pirates. Avery Miner, Willson Slayton and James Sashin each had three hits; Avery and Willson also had three RBIs, with James contributing four RBIs. Jeffrey Cimeno turned in two hits and three RBIs.
