Kristin Mary Wilson and Daniel Oliver Jr. were married at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Mattapoisett at noon on Sept. 11, 2010. The Very Rev. Harry E. Krauss, Dean of the Cathedral of Saint John, Providence, officiated.

The receiving line was held at the family home on 40 Water street, where the bridegroom often visited his late paternal grandparents, Andrew Oliver and Ruth Blake Oliver of Boston. The reception was held at the Mattapoisett Casino where the Alex Donner Orchestra performed. The couple later departed on the catboat Seasons.

The bride, daughter of John and Linda Wilson of Voorheesville, N.Y., is a pediatric resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. She holds an MD from Mount Sinai Medical School, an MHS from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and a BA from McGill University.

The bridegroom, son of the Hon. Daniel Oliver and Ambassador Louise Vietor Oliver, is founder and president of Myrmikan Capital LLC. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA from Vanderbilt University.

Before launching Myrmikan Capital, the bridegroom was a partner at Bearing Capital LLC, a private equity firm located in Buenos Aires, founded and was the CEO of W Ketchup LLC, and worked as an associate at the law firm of Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York.

The bridegroom’s maternal grandparents, the late Alexander Orr Vietor and Anna Glen Butler Vietor of New York, were longtime summer residents of Edgartown. The bridegroom spent his childhood summers with his numerous cousins at the family compound on South Water street.

The bride’s maid of honor was her college roommate, Maina Tilton Rice, and her bridesmaids were Kristen Simplicio and Susan Foster Oliver. The flower girls were the bride’s niece, Abigail Meghan Wilson, and the bridegroom’s niece, Anna Winston Oliver.

The bridegroom’s best man was his brother, Peter Alexander Oliver, and his groomsmen were his brother, Andrew Oliver 2nd, and Groton School classmate Jonathon Hazlehurst Corum.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Turkey. They will continue to reside in New York city.
