Rick Bausman and the Drum Workshop are bringing the beat to a whole new level. Called BeatFeat the idea is as simple and perfect as a Reeseā€™s Peanut Butter Cup, two great things finally coming together as one. Participants play the drums while working out on a stationary spinning bike.

Seeing is believing, so check out the video at drum-workshop.org. Then go join the band.

Classes take place on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the newly established Om of Motion on State Road in West Tisbury.

The Drum Workshop is also getting ready for another summer of banging around the Island too.

Drumming on the beach begins on June 28 and continues every Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at State Beach, the Jabberwocky spot.

Family Samba is every Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the West Tisbury Congregational Church beginning on July 1. Also at the church is a drumming class for teens and adults every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
