O Negative Blood Needed

The American Red Cross doesn’t care if you’re a Twilight fan or not; they’re about saving lives. To that end, every pint of blood makes a big difference.

Next Tuesday, June 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the Red Cross will be at the Portuguese-American Club on Vineyard avenue in Oak Bluffs.

Type O negative blood donors are especially needed. Type O negative is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations. Type O negative donors can make the difference between an adequate blood supply and a summer shortage.

Donors need not make an appointment, and refreshments are provided.
