Walking the Walk, Talking the Talk

Find out more about the Moor’s place in contemporary society: Actor’s Shakespeare Project will be on the Vineyard for two nights only that mix performances of Othello with conversations led by Shakespeare authority Robert Bru-stein exploring the themes of the play and their relevance in our modern times.

On August 10 and 11 — that’s next Tuesday and Wednesday — Boston’s award-winning theatre company will perform scenes from the company’s acclaimed production of Othello earlier this year, starring Jason Bowen as Othello, Ken Cheeseman as Iago, Brooke Hardman as Desdemona, and Paula Langton as Emilia.

Meanwhile you also get the play-by-play — that is, the scene-by-scene — a conversation led by company members and Mr. Brustein about what it all means. The format is based on the company’s hugely popular Conversations series in Boston.

Performances will begin at 5 p.m. at Featherstone Center for the Arts near the blinker in Oak Bluffs. Tickets are $30. For details, see artfarmenterprises.com.
