Still On a Mission from God

Missing your soul men? Well, weep no longer because the Official Blues Brothers Revue will be rocking the pews at Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs this Thursday, July 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty are Jake and Elwood, officially sanctioned by Dan Ackroyd and the Belushi estate. Their act began in the Las Vegas show Legends in Concert, which evolved into the A& E docudrama, Lost in Las Vegas, the story of two performers trying to survive and raise families in a city whose only value is making money. That film caught the attention of Victor Pisano and Judy Belushi Pisano.

But this ain’t no film. So get ready to rock your Rubber Biscuit at this live show which pays tribute, in music and comedy, to the original Blues Brothers as well as Chicago’s history of blues, gospel and soul music.

The Mike Benjamin Band will back up Jake and Elwood in a show that is suitable for all ages.

Tickets for the concert are $25 general admission and are available at vineyardplayhouse.org or on the night of the show at the door, cash or check only. Patron tickets are also available for $125 and include premium seating in the center section of Union Chapel and an after-party with the band at a nearby restaurant.
