The Bodhi Path of Martha’s Vineyard hosts Professor Lara Braitstein for teachings on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. both days.

Ms. Braitstein will be teaching on Madhyamaka, which is the Sanskrit term for “middle way,” and describes the path between extremes prescribed by the Buddha. Nagarjuna, in his famous work Root Verses on the Middle Way, elegantly systematized it into a philosophy of emptiness and a method of reasoning. The teachings will explore Nagarjuna’s Madhymaka thought through a close reading of portions of his Root Verses.

The Bodhi Path center is located at 21 Laurand Drive in West Tisbury. Call 508-696-5929 or check bodhipath.org for more information.
