In recognition of National Women’s Health and Fitness Day on Sept. 30, Curves in Vineyard Haven is offering a free 30-day diet plan program for women interested in weight-loss results and health improvement.

This program is a series of free weight management classes, according to Curves’ Daniel Seidman.

Classes include: a start-up class of 90 minutes; then a 30-minute class on techniques for ongoing weight maintenance; and finally special topics classes (30 minutes) to cover a different health-related topic each month, such as smart grocery shopping, choosing the right carbohydrates, eating out, and emotional eating.

All classes are available at no fee and no membership is required. Participants are encouraged to make a weekly appointment to weigh in with their weight management coaches, who provide ongoing support and accountability.
