The West Tisbury Congregational Church, on the corner of State Road and Music street, is hosting the 21st Annual Strawberry Festival this Saturday, June 27, from noon to 4 p.m.

Congregation members cull over 500 pounds of fresh berries, whip gallons upon gallons of cream, and slice endless Island-baked shortcakes, as strawberry smoothies whir in blenders and lemonade cools in pitchers. The line begins to form before noon and happy eaters can be seen relaxing at tables on the church lawn. Fresh berries may also be purchased in containers for those who need a quick dessert for family or guests. Volunteers from within the church membership oversee every aspect of the festival’s scheduling and serving. All proceeds help to maintain the historic church. For details, call 508-696-8034.
