Kathleen Baldwin and Scott Giles were married Jan. 17 at All Saints Chapel, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and Kevin Baldwin of Williamsburg, Va., formerly of McLean, Va.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Brian Giles of Lee, N.H., and Chilmark.

Meghan Baldwin, of Williamsburg, was maid of honor. Christine Lynders was best woman, and Maj. Thomas Cleaver, U.S. Marine Corps was best man. Ushers were Andrew Heling and Matt Heling, cousins of the groom.

Katy is a graduate of Langley High School and the U.S. Naval Academy. She holds a master’s of science degree in technical management from Johns Hopkins University. She is a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, currently stationed in Jacksonville, Fla.

Scott is a native of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., and graduated from the University of Illinois. During his summers on the Island, he participated in many Menemsha Pond sailing races in his boat, a Satellite named Honeoye. He also taught sailing for several years at the Chilmark Community Center.

Scott holds a master’s of science degree in aeronautical and aerospace engineering from Stanford University. He is a commander in the U.S. Navy, currently attending the Naval War College in Newport, R.I.

Both Scott and Katy are graduates of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School.
