The first spring community Island Grown Schools meeting will be on Tuesday March 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Island Co-Housing Common House in West Tisbury. The meeting will focus on plans for school gardens this spring and summer, and on new opportunities for collaboration between Island farms, schools, and new sources of wind energy.

The Island Grown Local Food Dinner is at the Regional High School on Monday, March 9 at 6 p.m. Chef Robert Lionette from Zephrus restaurant teams up with the students at the high school culinary arts program to create a multi-course meal from Island grown ingredients, to be served in the culinary arts dining room at the high school. The dinner costs $25, and tickets are available in advance at SBS and Cronig’s Market in Vineyard Haven. Proceeds go to the culinary arts department.
